The elders are 'letting me fade'

i attended my last meeting in january 2014, having realised that i'd been lied to for 20+ years (i'm now 43 y/o).

rumours spread of my 'apostasy'.. in may, cobe contacted me inviting me to a private meeting with elders at the kh.

(no mention of the meeting being a jc).

in our case there are still some that are talking to us. Last night we ran into one who crossed over the road and said hi to us yet there was a white car coming towards us and he thought it was his wife coming home from the meeting and he ran. It was really sad to watch. If you've done nothing bad except not go to the meetings, people will still talk to you but only when no one is watching.

I hope your elders don't slander your reputation the way ours did. The more they did, the more people were asking us what happened and we were glad to tell them. I truly wish you the best and hope they do leave you alone but your wife seems to be wanting attention and not for the right reasons. In marriage, the both are to have each others backs no matter what. If she keeps this up and causes a stir with the congregation, it wouldn't surprise me if the elders have to act on it. Good luck and keep strong.

The power is with you since you've educated yourself with TTATT and no one can take that away from you. That's why they run, slander your reputation, don't talk to you ect,,, They have no power and have to act like a bunch of uneducated delinquents.

Your elders didn't officially announce you as df'd from the platform but for sure they will have told everyone not to talk to you. They did it to me (I was publically reproved) and they recently did it to another family in a neighbouring congregation not far from this one. They don't have enough evidence on someone who is not coming to the meetings, then they will just tell ones not to talk to you. A local needs was also given about not associating with those who don't come to the meetings and that includes not talking to those ones. Again, they did it to me as well as another family in another hall. Too bad for the goon elders that want to make asses out of themselves for people are still talking with us as well as the other family. Love it when their control is out of control.

hi y'all, this is mrs. flipper.

please share your experiences with this, or possible consequences of being outed.. this recent controversy and resulting arguments all stem from people being outed - possibly losing friends and family because most jw's will blindly follow the watchtower's rules to shun them.. among people i know and experiences read here, the grief and loss caused by this is terrible, and maybe now is a good time to put up some experiences here, and put the focus on the worst villians of all - wt policymakers..

I was publically reproved for discouraging the young ones(all five accusers were relatives of the guy the elders were covering up) from pioneering five years ago. Everyone in the congregation were told not to talk to me. They df'd hubby because he told them they were the great whore of Babylon the Great when they were sitting at the end of our lane for three hours the one morning stalking us. These elders are now going to be feeling exactly what they made us feel. Each and every one of their neighbors have been called and told what these elders are capable of and what to expect when hating their neighbor. I'm sure there are elder meetings going on now. Now they have a reason to tell their followers not to talk to us just like we had a reason to telling their neighbors why they should be careful and know who really is their neighbor. See how they like the silent treatment:) The only difference is we didn't have to make up lies to get people to hate us. They did.

If more would do this, I am sure the elders would tread lightly since these guys never would preach in their own neighbourhood. They weren't afraid of telling others to do their neighbourhood territory because they couldn't.

if push came to shove and it was a showdown for loyalty to the organization or not following whatever decrees coming heir way, what percentage would remain loyal to the organization?

When I watched my parents let my brother die at the tender age of elleven, I was ten, it was like being in the twilight zone. For days after he died, they blamed each other but not the society. I feel that same feeling now. It sickens me that if it came down to it, JW followers might not kill themselves but most definitely kill others.

JW.Org says they are Jehovah's mouth piece. They tell their followers to listen, obey and be blessed(reward). They say from a human strategic standpoint it might not sound logical, but listen to them! Is murdering others logical?

If they say the great tribulation is going to start and for every member to help Christ and his brothers (annointed, hence everyone is now allowed to partake and also hurry everyone to get baptised to be their followers) to go out and slaughter everyone who is not a JW, especially apostates, you bet they will do it. Being annointed gives them a license to kill. Remember in their one article where they stated if it weren't for the law of the land and god's law, they would kill apostates?

And since they are so arrogant as to think they are Jehovah's mouthpiece, they are saying they are him. They have rewritten the bible numerous times to agree with their ever changing doctrine. What would stop them from telling their followers that the great tribulation has begun and now the world is being run by them. Wasn't that their last tract they handed out for the regional conventions - A world government????? Who is qualified to rule? Earths new ruler, who is qualified to rule the earth? You bet something big is coming.

why dont more elders leave?

you would think that what they are exposed to more would wake up and leave, why not?

Why would they step down when: in our first hall the whole body were all related and a bunch of drunkards. And in our last hall the cobe had the young wanabees look after his home while he took an eight week holiday every year in Florida. The other elder has three aging parents and has all the young wanabees taking them shopping, doctors office, coffee shops ect,,, while counting their time. Another elder had all the young pioneers hang out with his fifteen yearold daughter for a year to get her on the right road. Too bad she had a little boy at sixteen, the worldly father was only fifteen years old but hey you had over twenty pioneer wanabees count their time. Today they are all made ms's and two were made elders and most of them stopped pioneering as soon as they got their labels. Now the elders have no one label licking them. It backfired on them. Now these little idiots with labels only put on a show when co comes to town. It's all about cult glorification. You never see these elders out in service yet they have the label of pioneer. They play a good game of snakes and ladders:)

I would say something but then I would be the one name called critical, negative, ect,,, Oh, wait a minute, I'm not there anymore so I can say :What an embarrassment to themselves and god. Nothing more than a bunch of people pleasers and jackasses. So glad I'm not in it. What were we thinking:(

To think when we were in it, we had told someone in the ministry that we serve god in truth and spirit, not guitars and drums. This person joined a religion because of the band that they would play in every week in that church and now JW.Org is exactly the same. I'm speechless.

When I decided to no longer turn in time...

i'm mentally out of this cult now but still trapped because of family.

Well SG098, you know what you have to do now. Next meeting you go to, it's a must you stand up during sing along and instead of your song book, you must bring in a porn book and open up the centerfold all the way so it stretches from the persons face on the left of you to the person's face to the right of you. Then lets see if those idiot elders think porn isn't as bad as handing in your monthly time report. Make sure you sing good and loud.
